Matt Hamill’s Offical Statement about UFC 75 Mike Bisping Fight

Friday, September 14th, 2007

Matt Hamill just released an official statement about his UFC 75 fight against Michael Bisping. The fight had a ton of conversely regarding the decision. For those of you who haven’t seen it, you can find the Matt Hamill vs. Mike Bisping fight here. and deserves Matt’s personal take on the fight, so here it is:

“Official Statement from Matt Hamill

I would like to thank everyone for their unbelievable support. I fought my heart out in London and feel I should have won the fight. The outpouring of support from people all over the world has touched my heart. It validates my performance to myself and that means as much as a win to me. I think MMA is a great sport and I don’t believe in any kind of a fix. The two judges that scored the win for Bisping obviously need to re-evaluate the way they score a fight. You can’t win a fight when you run for three rounds. They need to study the criteria for scoring an MMA fight: effective striking, grappling, takedowns, aggression and control. Bisping did none of that in my opinion. The UFC has the best MMA in the world and I am proud to be a part of it. I will be fighting in the UFC for a long time. Thanks again to all my fans, especially to all the English fans who came up to me after the fight to tell me I was the winner. I will be back in the octagon very soon and promise to fight my heart out like I always have.

Quinton Rampage Jackson vs. Dan Henderson Fight Video

Sunday, September 9th, 2007

Another exciting fight from the night that to my surprise went the distance. I was extremely impressed with Rampage’s cardio – he went the full five rounds, showed little to no fatigue, and was cracking jokes within 5 minutes after the fight. Check out the Rampage vs Dan Henderson video:

Mirko Cro Crop vs Cheick Kongo UFC 75 Fight Results

Saturday, September 8th, 2007

Cheick Kongo takes the victory with a unanimous decision against Mirko Cro Crop.  Cheick did an amazing job taking on Mirko.  He constantly put pressure on Mirko and had him backing up for a large part of the fight.  Joe Rogan mentioned that this was very effective for Fedor’s victory over Mirko as well.  Cheick has proven himself to be an up and coming fighter.  Mirko… hopefully he’ll get his mojo back after two devastating losses.

The Ultimate Fighter 2 Marcus Davis vs UK Paul Taylor UFC 75

Saturday, September 8th, 2007

What an amazing fight!! This UFC event is amazing so far! Professional boxer and The Ultimate Fighter 2 cast member Marcus Davis took on UK’s Kick boxer Paul Taylor at UFC 75.  Paul Taylor dropped Marcus Davis with a huge kick to the head, quickly jumped on him and grounded and pounded.  David held on the entire time and weathered the storm.  David then managed to hold Taylor down, mount him, ground and pound him and ended the fight with an armbar in the first! What a sick fight this was!!  It’s posted online from the folks in the UK – but has already been taken down from daily motion.
