The Des Moines Register is reporting that on New Years Eve, UFC fighter Josh Neer was arrested with a felony after being chased for 20 miles by police.  As a police cruiser waited at a red light, the car behind it rear-ended it.  After the officer questioned the driver of the car, he was informed by the driver that her vehicle was hit by Neer’s Audi pushing her into the officer’s vehicle. As reported by The Des Moiner Register, the intoxicated Neer immediatley speed off leading police offers on a 20 mile chase with speeds exceeding 100 mph in a 65 mph zone.  After attempts to PIT (precision immobilization technique) maneuver or ram Neer’s vehicles, the vehicle was finally apprehended on I-80 Iowa.  Neer is scheduled to fight Mac Danzig next month at “UFC Fight Night” in Florida.

Based on what The Los Angeles Times stated in their recent TUF 6 report, Richie Hightower has a good story to tell. According to the LA Times, Richie Hightower was an outstanding high school football player – he has some High School Records for Arizona Mountain Pointe Pride Football including most Quarterbacks sacked. By the age of 21 he was overweight with health problems. He gave up all of his vices and is molding himself into a successful MMA fighter (7-1 fight record). Hightower has fought in Rage in the Cage (66, 68, 69, 70, 72, 87) , PFC 2 and XCF 4 he has defeated a variety of fighters including Jeremy Neer, Josh Neer’s uncle! Here’s the complete list:

Josh “The Dentist” Neer who was once a popular UFC fighter, fought Paul Rodriguez (155lb match up) at the GreenSparks Fighting Championships 5 in Iowa.    Josh defeated Paul in the first round by TKO.  Josh was once very a popular up and coming UFC fighter, but feel out of the UFC after two big losses, the details from his wiki:

“Neer then went on to win 10 straight fights as well as the XKK (Xtreme Kage Kombat) Welterweight Championship. Neer then entered into the UFC and lost to Drew Fickett by submission. Neer then went 2-1 in non-UFC fighting before going back to fight in the UFC where he had wins over young and talented Melvin Guillard and Joe Stevenson, who won the Welterweight division of The Ultimate Fighter 2. Hopefully he’ll make his way back into the UFC – this guy has tremendous heart!
