Chuck Liddell Gets $500,000, Keith Jardine $14,000!

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

The UFC 76 Salaries are out, the California State Athletic Commission has posted the official salaries and most shocking is the Keith Jardine vs. Chuck Liddell salary difference.  Chuck Liddell received a half a million dollars to fight, while Keith Jardine got $14,000.  Now, don’t get me wrong, Chuck is a headliner for sure, and this was a huge opportunity for Keith Jardine, however, is $14,000 enough to go up against the Iceman?  Are you willing to potentially loose your head for $14,000?  Jardine sure had the nads!  Here are some other salaries from the event:

Monday, September 24th, 2007

In a post UFC 76 fight press conference, Dana White announced the winners of the best “Knock Out and Submission” and best “Fight of the Night”. The fight of the night went to Tyson Griffin and the winner of the “Knock Out and Submission” of the night went to Forrest Griffin. Both of these fighters fought great fights. It’s amazing how exciting the UFC is getting these days… It is additionally amazing how well many of former “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show contestants are doing. Speaking of which, what about Keith Jardine?

Keith Jardine’s performance against Chuck Liddell was impressive. I have to admit, I thought Chuck was out of Keith’s league, man was I wrong. Check out this post fight Sherdog interview with Keith Jardine to hear Keith’s take on the fight.

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

Ultimate Fight Night 11 is now over, it was an amazing event, but it’s time to get ready for UFC 76. Joe Rogan hypes up the Chuck Liddell versus Keith Jardine UFC 76 fight in the following video. He talks about Chuck coming off a big loss to Rampage Jackson and how that will affect his mental game. Keith says that he’s going to go in there and give the fans a war. Dana White comments on Chuck saying that he’s gotten caught up in the rock star lifestyle and that he needs to get his head back together. Immediately after the loss against Quinton Jackson, Chuck was back in the gym training for his next, unknown fight. Dana thinks we’ll see a different Chuck Liddell this fight.

Quite honestly, Keith did very well against Forret Griffin, but Chuck Liddell is a whole new ball game.. has anyone seen what Houston Alexander did to Keith Jardine? Well, we’ll only see the results at UFC 76
