According to the Palm Beach Post, the Illegal Cage Fighting (unsanctioned fight) charges that were filed against Din Thomas have been dropped.

“Prosecutors this morning decided not to file charges against a nationally-renowned mixed martial arts fighter who was arrested in October after investigators alleged he organized “illegal cage fighting” matches in a St. Lucie West warehouse.”

TCPalm published an article today stating that Ultimate Fighter Din Thomas was arrested today on charges of holding “illegal cage fighting matches”.  Apparently Din was observed allowing two men to fight inside an octagon with 150 spectators.  This fight was not sanction by the State Boxing Commission and therefore was illegal. “At the end of the day, he was having a professional mixed martial arts match that was not licensed through us,” …. “It was a case of unlicensed activity”, Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation Sam Farkas said.

This fight was an interesting fight… (how descriptive), Kenny seemed to be doing very well on his feet against Din Thomas. Kenny was landing a lot of good kicks as well as punches. Din and Kenny went to the mat a few times and Din did an excellent job staying on top of Kenny and keeping Kenny off of himself. Late in the first round, Din shoots on Kenny, appears to blow out his left knee, and just lays there while Florian gets on tops, throws a series of punches (while Din just takes them without defense) and then loose with a rear naked choke to Florian. We’ll have to review the video, but it looks like Din blew out his left knee on the shoot.

The rumors are out about Ultimate Fight Night 11 and if they are true, expect to see one of the best Ultimate Fight Nights to date. The match ups are rumored to be:

UFN is scheduled for September 19th 2007. If these match up prove to be true.. I don’t know how much better these UFN’s can get?
