Anderson Silva’s Response to Wanderlei being pissed off that he trained Rich Franklin

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Anderson Silva has been training for the past month at Black House in California.  For two weeks he trained with Rich Franklin and developed a good friendship with him.  Wanderlei Silva was a bit pissed off at Anderson for training an American to fight against a Brazilian.  Pissed off to the point that Wanderlei would like to fight Anderson.  As Anderson puts it, the sport is global and you have to consistently help it grow.  He already had plans to train Rich even before Wanderlei was set for the fight.  He made an offer and he wasn’t going to turn it down.  So, maybe after Forrest and Anderson get down at UFC 101, we’ll see some action between Wanderlei and Anderson…

Amber Nichole Miller Out Partying With Wandi at UFC 97

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

Although she’s no longer a UFC Octagon Girl, she still has a special place in the hearts of long time MMA fans.  Amber Nichole Miller was out on the scene last weekend after the UFC 97 fights.  Working with Xyience and Wanderlei Silva, it was no surprise to see Amber hanging with Wandi among others over the weekend.  Check out the pics of Amber.

Rampage to Fight Wanderlei Silva at UFC 92, Plus Rampage vs Wanderlei Silva Fight Videos

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

As rumored back in August of this year, Quinton Rampage Jackson will in fact take on Wanderlei Silva in the UFC Octagon at UFC 92.  The madness will go down on December 27th at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.  This fight will make for a third fight for Rampage and Wanderlei.  In the past, they faced off two times at Pride events.  The first time they met was at Pride Final Conflict 2003.  The fight ended in the first round (6:28) by a TKO, Wanderlei being the victor.  The two faced off again almost a year later at Pride 28.  Once again the fight ended with Wanderlei as the victor, defeating Rampage in the second round by Knock Out.  So, what can we expect to see at UFC 92?  The retirement of Rampage perhaps?  Or one hell of a fight.

If you have not seen the first two fights, be sure to watch them below:

Quinton Rampage Jackson Back in the Octagon Versus Wanderlei Silva at UFC 91?

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

There is talk that former UFC Champion Quinton Rampage Jackson will soon enter the Octagon after his July 15th traffic arrest.  After his July 15th arrest, many thought that Quinton had gone off the deep end.  A big loss to Forrest Griffin was initially thought to be the motive, however, as stated in reports, Jackson was simply “ill”.  Lack of sleep, food and liquid, lead to him suffering from delirium.  But now Jackson seems to be back to himself again (as can be seen in this BJ Penn video) and is preparing himself for the Octagon.

UFC president Dana White is accepting of Jackson and offers his support as quoted by MMA Junkie; “If he was doing drugs, if he had been drunk, if he had gone out there and done what he did because he was pissed off at someone, that would be a completely different story. But he was ill. And in this company, we support our friends and anyone who works for us when they’re ill and have problems. He was ill, the incident occurred, and now he’s fine.”

So with the support of the UFC and Jackson being back to himself again, it seems like UFC 91 which will take place November 15th in Portland Oregon will be Rampage’s return to the ring.  Rumor has it, he’s looking to avenge his two losses to Wanderlei Silva.  The fight has yet to be confirmed, but the word on the street is that this will be the match up for UFC 91.

What in the Hell? UFC All Access on MTV2? Oh And Rachelle Leah too…

Friday, December 28th, 2007

UFC just announced that Wanderlei Silva’s UFC All Access will be premiering on MTV2, not the most expected Spike TV?  I know that the UFC and Spike has extended their strategic television partnership to 2011.  This contract would give Spike TV 39 new episodes of UFC Unleashed, 12 UFC Fight Nights and Seasons 9 to 12 of The Ultimate Fighter Reality show.  Apparently All Access didn’t make the contract.  Anyone know why MTV2 picked it up?

All Access will begin at 10PM tonight, and will be up close and in person with Wanderlei Silva as he trains for his fight against Chuck Liddell.  As always, the one and only Rachelle Leah will be hosting the show.  For a short preview of what’s to come tonight, visit the official UFC All Access MTV2 Website.

Chuck Liddell Talks to ESPN About Wanderlei Silva UFC 79 Video

Friday, December 28th, 2007

Chuck Liddell’s coming out of a loosing strike, but he’s feeling confident and he’s ready to “knock out” Wanderlei Silva. For those who think that the Iceman is over with, Chuck says, “Come and see the fight”.

Chuck’s asked about his partying and whether he partied before his fight with Rampage and Keith Jardine. A lot of people on the internet message boards where rumoring that he’s too much of a party animal, that he parties too much and drinks alcohol too much. But the Iceman doesn’t need an alcohol rehab, those are just rumors. Chuck says that he never parties before a fight… for a month leading up to the fight, Chuck doesn’t drink alcohol, he only drinks water.

Chuck shows respect for Wanderlei Silva, he states that he is very aggressive, has a lot of power and is a very dangerous fighter. Get ready for the fight between Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva this weekend at UFC 79 Nemesis. Check out the video to get you started.

Wanderlei Silva - “I changed my Life for this Match” UFC 79 Video

Tuesday, December 25th, 2007

Wanderlei Silva stated that he changed his life for his upcoming match against Chuck Liddell. He changed his home, with his family, by relocating to the US. He has changed his gym, his trainer, and he’s putting a lot on the line to fight Chuck. Wanderlei states that he’s training hard and serious. He knows that someone’s going to go down - Chuck has long arms - good reach, Wanderlei would like to kick Chuck when he’s on the ground, but he can no longer do this in the UFC, so he’s training elbows and got good ones. It’s going to be a battle. Check out the Wanderlei Silva ESPN UFC 79 video.
