MMA Fight Girls Wallpaper

The UFC just announced that the next UFC Fight Night will take place at the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida on February 7th 2009. The headliner for the night will be Joe Lauzon vs Hermes Franca. Also fighting that night is The Ultimate Fighter’s Mac Danzig vs Josh Neer. If you’re interested in buying tickets on presale, the newsletter password which allows you to purchase a day before the general public, is “LIVE”. This password can be used on Sunday, December 21st.

In addition to being a damn good UFC Fighter / The Ultimate Fighter, Mac Danzig is a photographer.  In a recent post on sherdog, a link to “Mac Danzig Photography” was posted by fairyprincess.  The photos in his portfolio are quite impressive I must say.  Using slow shutter speeds he captures some awesome images, including one of my favorites from his album, “celestial desert rotation”.  Now, these pictures are great, and I’m sure that Mac enjoys doing this outside of his profession… however, I think it would be awesome to see Mac’s Photographic perspective on the sport of MMA… Maybe he brings his camera with him to events / training… Maybe he’ll one day share those photos with us.

Ultimate Fighter Mac Danzig is now one of PETA’s poster boys.  On January second, PETA posted an article and video interview of Mac Danzig.  Mac is a vegan and states “I Am a Fighter in the Best Shape of My Life. The results from The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 6 Finale are in.. a little late, but in. Here are the results from Saturday evening.

• Jonathan Goulet defeats Paul Georgieff with a Rear Naked Choke in Round 1
• Roman Mitichyan defeats Dorian Price with an Ankle Lock in Round 1
• Matt Arroyo defeated John Kolosci with an Arm Bar in Round 1
• Troy Mandaloniz defeated Richie Hightower in the first round with a TKO
• Ben Saunders wins against Dan Barrera via Unanimous Decision
• George Sotiropoulos beat Billy Miles with a Rear Naked Choke in Round 1
• Jon Koppenhaver defeated Jared Rollins via TKO Round 3
• Mac Danzig defeated Tommy Speer to be TUF 6 Finale Winnder, sinking a Rear Naked Choke Round 1
• Roger Huerta defeated Clay Guida with a Rear Naked Choke Round 3

Mac Danzig totally dominated Tommy Speer in the Ultimate Fighter 6 Finale.  The two felt each other out in the beginning of the first round, ultimately taking it to the ground where Danzig put on a BJJ Clinic.  Mac totally dominated Tommy on the ground, gaining a full mount in which in dropped some bombs.  Tommy flipped around like a fish out of the water and Mac sunk a deep rear naked choke.

The Final Fight Card for TUF Season 6 Finals have been determined.  Last night Tommy Speer and Mac Danzig both won their semi-final fights on the previously taped TUF 6 reality show.  The two will face off this week (Saturday, December 8th on Spike TV at 9PM ET), for a chance to win a UFC six figure contract.

So, we’ve started to go through the list of the new “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 6 contestants. So far we took at look at Blake Bowman and Matt Arroyo. I have now stumbled across Mac Danzig and I have to say, he seems to be a well seasoned fighter! Mac has over 20 fights already, including a draw to Jason Von Flue, a loss to Kurt Pellegrino, several King of the Cage Fights and one Pride Fight. Mac’s overall record is 16-4-1, he already has a wiki article, his picture on Sherdog makes him look like an animal and he has some nice fight videos out there on youtube and google video – shown below.
