Tapout Features Sherron “Rob Roy” Leggett and Chris McDaniel
Thursday, August 30th, 2007Last night’s episode of TapOut on the Versus Network featured up coming fighter Sherron “Rob Roy” Leggett and his Extreme Challenge bout against Chris McDaniel. Sherron Leggett was quite the character on the show. From working on his standup in his backyard, to living in a “dungeon” (his basement) to being super hero “Rob Roy”, Sherron provided loads of entertainment. In last night’s episode of TapOut, Sherron Leggetts proved to have a strong ground game. Going into the fight Chris McDaniel threw down landing a solid punch which brought Sherron to his knees. Sherron quickly recovered and took Chris down. Once on the ground, after playing some chess, Sherron was able to get Chris into a Kimora Key Lock to win the fight.
I decided to look into both fighters a bit more – I thought that Rob Roy could become an outstanding fighter with some more stand up training. And I thought that Chris McDaniels was a class act and a banger – which is always exciting to see.
Rob Roy has 18 professional fights, with 14 wins and 4 losses. He most recent fight and loss was to Jamie Varner (13-3) at WEC 29. If you happen to have any videos, please comment.
