UFC 80 - Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, England - Davis vs Liaudin
Thursday, October 18th, 2007The Fight Network is reporting that UFC 80 should be the first event of 2008, most likely being held on January 19 or January 26 2008. The Fight Network states:
“UFC 80 is scheduled to touch down at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, England, a northern city with a population of only 260,000, but well known throughout the country for its vibrant nightlife and personality. The 11,000-seat Metro arena is a choice venue, as it has hosted numerous World Wrestling Entertainment events and will likely attract an MMA-savvy audience.”
French fighter Jess “Joker” Liaudin is currently in negotiation to face off with Marcus Davis for the main event of UFC 80. More details to follow…
