Ed states that he gives Joe a lot of respect, that he’s a real tough guy and took the fight on short notice. Ed was stoked to find that he was fighting Joe Doerksen as he was beat by him 3 and 1/2 years ago. He’s happy as hell that he got his first KO.

It was announced that Ed Herman will no longer face up against David Terrell at UFC 78.  Due to an ankle injury during training, Terrell will not longer suited to fight at the event. Terrell’s replacement for the fight against Ed Herman will be Joe Doerksen. Doerksen has a lot of fighting experience, with a 39 and 10 record.  He’s fought such big names as Patrick Cote, Matt Lindland, Jason MacDonald, Nathan Marquardt, Joe Riggs, Chris Leben and David Loiseau among others.  Ed Herman faced off with Doerksen at SportFight 7 back in 2004 and lost in the 3rd via a triangle choke.  Both fighters have added many fights to their record since facing off last.  The fight should be a good one.
