Nate Quarry Comments on myspace about his fight against Kalib at UFC 83… Kabli Released from the UFC

Monday, April 21st, 2008

On Nate’s myspace today he posted a bulletin stating that he was sorry about his fight with Kalib Starnes:

“I did what I could to finish the fight, it’s just tough when someone is running the whole time.
I’ll post a blog about the whole thing asap
Nate”

Anyone who saw the fight knows that Nate was totally picking Kalib apart and he wanted nothing to do with that fight. I don’t know if he was having trouble feeling out his distance or what, but his actions resulted in his departure from the UFC. For more information, read yahoo’s “UFC cuts Starnes after disgraceful performance”.

This Week’s Big UFC 83 News – Patrick Cote Injured

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

Coming off a sweet Ultimate Fight Night 12 victory over hard hitting Andrew McFedries, Patrick Cote was preparing himself for a possible UFC 83 fight against Alan Belcher at UFC 83.  Unfortunately last week, Patrick Cote slipped and fell on some ice and sprained his knee.  The doctors say he can’t train for 6 weeks, making a UFC 83 fight impossible for Cote.

Possibly filling in his place for the UFC 83 fight against Alan Belchar is Canadian Jason Day.  Day has yet to fight in the UFC but has some big wins which prove himself ready for the UFC.  Jason Day has recently fought and defeated UFC vets Jonathan Goulet, Ron Faircloth, and David Loiseau.

UFC 83 St. Pierre vs Serra 2 Almost Completely Sold Out! Be Quick for Tickets This Friday!

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

The UFC announced today that almost all of the tickets for UFC 83 featuring Georges St. Pierre versus Matt Serra at the Bell Centre in Montreal have been sold out during the initial presale. This leaves very few tickets available for the public sale this Friday at 12pm ET. As for the usual newsletter presale, it won’t happen, there are too few tickets to allow for a newsletter presale, sorry folks. For those of you who are not lucky enough to get tickets for this event, the UFC is currently looking into alternative viewings of the event. For those of you that remember, about a month ago, the UFC hosted a public viewing at Madison Square Garden. Maybe something similar will be available for the Canadian MMA fans? Good luck getting those tickets yeh.
