MMA Fight Girls Wallpaper

A popular conversation thread on the UFC and gaming fan forums this week is the fighter roster for the upcoming THQ video game UFC Undisputed 2010 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.  The word on the street is that there will be a tone of new fighters to the UFC Undisputed game, these fighters are indicated below with a (N) next to their names.  UFC Legends including Dan Severn, Royce Gracie and Jens Pulver will only be available on the Playstation 3.  These fighters are noted with a (L) next to their name.  And, of course GameStop has to get their promotion deal with THQ, allowing them to have exclusive fighters Marcus Jones, James McSweeney and Roy Nelson.  These fighters are noted with a (P) next to their name.  But, as we’ve learned from history, these fighters should be available for download to your console gaming system perhaps a month or two after release of the game.

THQ just released a sneak peek for the cover of the upcoming UFC Undisputed 2010 video game for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.  And guess who’s on the cover, none other than MMA Legend… wait, MMA newcomer Brock Lesnar, WTF?

The sneak peek is out for UFC 2010 Undisputed Video Game.  This upcoming year’s edition of the video game will feature some interesting additions; Pride style rules will be available to allow for kicks to downed opponents, Japanese DREAM and Strikeforce will be leagues within the game, Kazushi Sakuraba will possibly be included in the game, Kimbo Slice will definitely be included, among some other features in attempt to outweigh EA’s MMA implementation of a video game.  To see the official trailer, check out the video below.

So it looks like THQ has a competitor in the MMA video game biz.  EA Sports has recently entered the game and has been showing off it’s capabilities with some promotional Fedor vs Rogers material.  The promotional video has been out for a little while (see below), but now we’re starting to get some screen shots which really show off the detail of the game.  I know that EA Sports does an awesome job with all of their games, particularly Madden, however, I don’t see this as being a UFC Undisputed Killer, I think THQ will give them a run for their money when 2010 comes out.

UFC 2009 Undisputed for the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 (PS3) are set to be released on May 19th, 2009.  For those of you who can’t wait to play this gem, you can get your feet wet with the free downloadable demo for both consoles.  For Xbox 260 users, check out the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, while the PS3 guys can download it for free using the PlayStation Network. Although playable demo is limited, it is full of fun features to engage in.  A full playable tutorial is available to aclimate the user with all of the fighting technics.  Each tutorial is very detailed and explanatory.  Learning to perfect your stand up, ground game and defense through the tutorial will consume at least 45 minutes of your time.  After doing so, take to the Octagon with one of two players, Chuck Liddell or ‘Shogun’ Rua.  Throwing a series of head strikes will cause your opponent to collapse and crumble.  With the right combinations, the fight won’t least past the first round.

Sit down with Neven Dravinski, the producer of the latest UFC 2009 Video game by THQ.  Dravinski walks through the 6 fighting techniques of the upcoming game.  Three techniques are striking, Boxing, Kick Boxing, Muay Thai and three are grappling, Wrestling, Judo and BJJ.  Check out the HD footage, insane!

THQ, the makers of the upcoming UFC 2009 Undisputed video game, recently remade the encounter between Rich Franklin vs Anderson Silva and UFC 64 which ended quickly in the first round due to stoppage.  As we all know, Rich caught a barrage of knees from Silva ending the fight early, and shocking all fight fans.  Here’s THQ’s virtual remake using their game:
