What better way to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu than to watch a tutorial of two naked girls showing off BJJ technique? You might learn something watching the Jiu-Jitsu Girls, but most likely you won’t get the names right. Kimura? Wait, no, that’s the Americana / Paintbrush. Oh well.
In this MMA Live “MMA For Dummies” interview with Frank Mir, Mir shows how to get a D’Arce Choke starting from half guard. Although Frank does a great job showing the D’Arce, I’ve included a few more instructional videos (including an explain from Mark Laimon of Cobra Kai) so you can see the D’Are Choke from different angles.

This is a sick BJJ submission that I saw on a recent program showcasing some Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training. The move is called a crucifix and works best when training with a Gi. Doug Anderson of Fight Quest got choked out with this while training in Rio Brazil. Check it out.
As you may know, Hollywood is releasing a new MMA movie titled “Never Back Down“. The movie features a variety of MMA disciplines including Muay Thai, BJJ, Boxing, etc. The following video shows the actors training and complaining about how difficult the training for the movie is. Although they all stated that it was tough, they seemed to have enjoyed it. Check out the trailer / video.

A new MMA / High School movie is about to hit the scene this March, Never Back Down. Every high school movie, combined with Stomp the Yard and some MMA Flavor, is Never Back Down, a story of Jake Taylor, a kid who’s the new kid on the block and continuing to get involved in street fights. After being invited to a party, Jake catches a butt whipping from a bully who knows MMA (Cam Gigandet). After discovering the sport of MMA, Jake behinds to train to find revenge. He begins to learn MMA from Jean Roqua (Djimon Honsou) and learns some of the finer arts including Muay Thai and BJJ.
Reviews are mixed with emotion right now, some people say it’s a thrilling video, other’s say its a joke. You decide in March 2008 when the movie hits theaters.
