The results from last night’s Pro Elite ShoXC fight results are in.  The big news for Oxygen’s Fight Girl fans is that Jennifer Tate lost her fight to Shayna Baszler 44 seconds into the first round of the fight by an armbar.  As for the other fights of the night, the full list of fight results are posted below:

Oxygen’s Fight Girl Jennifer Tate is scheduled to fight Shayna Baszler tonight at the Chumash Casino. The fight will be aired live on Showtime at the 11PM. Shayna Baszler is known as the “Queen of the Armbar” and is well known for her ground game. Tate, although good on the ground, is skilled with her stand up. Her last fight against Kim Gibson, Tate delivered a 7 second Knock Out. You can watch the Jennifer Tate vs. Kim Gibson KO Fight Video if you haven’t already seen it.

Back in August we announced the results of the Jennifer Tate vs. Kim Gibson fight that ended in 7 seconds with a “Knock Out”. A video of the Jennifer Tate vs. Kim Gibson fight has been posted to YouTube.  You’ll have to fast forward to get to the good stuff… Check out the video:

The Lodi News reported that Jennifer Tate Knocked Out Kim Gibson in 7 Seconds at teh Global Knockout Event at Jackson Racheria. Here’s what was said by Lodi News:

“Lodi’s Jennifer Tate didn’t take long to capture the title belt for the women’s lightweight championship during Global Knockout at Jackson Rancheria last week. It took Tate all of seven seconds to knock out Kim Gibson, of Oregon, delivering one punch to the face before the fight was called.

“The ref stopped it,” said Tate, who recently appeared on “Fight Girls 2,” Oxygen Network’s reality television show. “She was on her feet, but her eyes were rolling. Nobody was home.”

While Tate doesn’t have her professional license yet, her pro record is 3-0 with two knockouts.” Source Lodi News

Fight Girl Jennifer Tate loves to throw down.  She may not be the most technical fighter as of yet, however she has no problem at all throwing down.  In this highlight video Jennifer Tate takes on Kate Alendal and Tonya Evinger.  Additionally, some sparring highlights and grappling highlights are included.  Jennifer Tate is a hard hitting fighter and this video really helps you appreciate Miriam Nakamoto‘s skill level in taking on Jennifer Tate.

So we’ve been talking about Fight Girls for some time… As many of you know, the girls are now making their way to Thailand to fight – we recently posted a Fight Girl spoiler about this. Let’s show a quick breakdown of who’s making their way to the finals:

In last night’s episode of Oxygen’s Fight Girls, Miriam Nakamoto fought Jennifer Tate.  Going into the fight, there was a lot of in house drama targeted against Miriam.  All of the remaining girls in the house had a clear dislike for Miriam… possibly due to her desire to spend time alone, maybe for the male friend she found while on the trip, or possibly for reasons we do not see on camera?  But this is nothing new to Miriam.  Miriam stated that she had a tough upbringing -  she was in and out of juvenile dentention and outcasted by her parents.

But enough about the drama… what about the fight?  In the first round Jennifer Tate was clearly dominant.  Jennifer pushed forward and was landing a lot of punches.  The second round Miriam came out like a little ball of fire.  She was very technical in putting Jennifer into a muay thai clinch, landing knees and a fury of punches.  Miriam continued this pace in the third round and despite all of the drama targeted toward her, she took home the win.  Miriam will now go on to fight in Thailand.  Hopefully she and the other girls will work out their differences before then.
