Rumors of UFC Making Their Way to Canada - Bell Center, Georges St. Pierre?
The UFC had plans to host a UFC event (most likely UFC 80) in January of 2008 at the Bell Centre (Center) in Montreal. Unfortunately, we learned in early October that the UFC called off the Montreal 2008 Bell Centre event. It was apparently very difficult to book the venue with all of the hockey events going on. Having said that, rumor is that Dana White is about to confirm at date, most likely March 29 2008 to hold a UFC event at the Bell Center. TKO had 2 events at the center that has drawn a lot of fans (over 10,000) to the events. A UFC event will likely do much better, especially when the rumor is that the event will most likely be a title shot for Georges St. Pierre.
