Diego Sanchez was interviewed by ESPN after his Ultimate Fight Night fight against Luigi Fioravanti. Diego stated that he worked on boxing for 2 years but now he’s back to his roots, his ground game. He stated that he’s been working on some kicks for the fight and Luigi did in fact bring some powerful hits. He was excited about this, as it allowed him to show people that he has a strong chin and can bang with ‘em.  Although he can stand up with some great strikers, Diego stated that he prefers to be a smarter fighter and take his opponents to the mat.
