I find it interesting that a kid can go out and do karate, or boxing, or jiu jitsu or just about any other martial art form and its ok because its 'traditional'. Yet when all of it gets put together (i.e MMA) is it really any more dangerous that any of the specific disciplines?
I did find some of the video footage a little disturbing and would suggest more in the way of protective equipment for kids that young, also perhaps slightly modified rules (no strikes to head on ground) and a minimum competing age of say 9 or 10.
