Micheal Bisping Has a Death Wish, Anderson Silva Can Fulfill It
Anderson Silva recently stated that he wishes to retire from Mixed Martial Arts when he turns 35. He’s currently 33. Part of the reason for him leaving the sport, he feels that there’s not a lot left for him to do in the sport. But Micheal Bisping disagrees, “I think there are a lot of good fights at middleweight for him – me being one of them”, Bisping stated to the UK’s Sun. But with all fairness, he additionally states, “Anderson is the pound for pound best in the world – an unbelievable fighter.”… “But that said, I want to get a pop at the guy before he retires.”
Don’t get me wrong, but didn’t Bisping just barely beat Chris Leben? A third round decision over Chris Leben for Bisping isn’t that impressive. If I remember correctly, Anderson Silva dropped Chris Leben 49 seconds into the first round of their UFN event. Yes, Leben is more fit, etc, etc, but so is Silva. Bisping is for sure a class act, but I think he’s out of his mind wanting to fight Anderson Silva, I might be wrong, time will only tell.

you know what though? i think it shows dash. i mean isnt that what being an athlete
is all about? pushing yourself and facing the best there is. I respect the guy for that
because for sure there must be loads ducking anderson.
In my heart of hearts i still think ufc at some point will try to get gsp and silva to
fight at a catch weight. that would be nutts. To be honest prob more likely if afflicion
manage to get their act together and put on some massive shows too. that match
would only be a reaction to compertition. it just may happen depending.

You’re right, it’s a great thing to push yourself and strive for excellence. As for GSP versus Silva, that would be an amazing fight to watch. They are both just so explosive and well rounded. I’d love to see that.
