UFC 93 Tickets Sold Out in Just 2 Weeks in a New Market
As the UFC continues to expand globally, it’s effectiveness in new markets is staggering. After just two weeks of ticket sales for the upcoming UFC 93 event featuring Rich Franklin vs Dan Henderson and UFC Legend Mark Coleman vs Mauricio Rua, the Ireland based UFC promotion has sold out. To date, the ticket sales were the best ever for the UFC in Europe. In the first week, 6,000 tickets were sold for the event, while the remaining 4,000 were sold out in the following week.
The event will be the first UFC event for 2009. It will take place on January 17, 2009 at O2 Arena in Dublin, Ireland. The current fight card for the night will be:
- Dan Henderson vs. Rich Franklin
- Mark Coleman vs. Mauricio “Shogun” Rua
- Marcus Davis vs. Chris Lytle
- Thomasz Drwal vs. Ivan Serati
- Andre Gusmao vs. Antonio Mendes
- Abdul Mohamed vs. TBA
- Tom Egan vs. John Hathaway
