Bruno, AKA Sacha Baron Cohen Pranks the MMA Community with “Redneck Rumble”
Some of you know him as Borat, others Sacha Baron Cohen, and very soon you will all know him as Bruno. This July, Borat… I mean Sacha Baron Cohen, is coming out with a new movie, “Bruno”. As Bruno, Sacha plays the character of a very flamboyantly gay Austrian Television reporter. In his encounter with the MMA community, the jokes were all on the MMA fans. The Bruno crew setup a fake MMA event titled “Blue Collar Brawlin’”, luring Arkansans fight goers in with the expections of great fights, $1 beers and hot chicks for the ticket price of only 5 bucks. About 1,500 fight fans showed up for the event and they all walked away with a story to tell. The first few fights were considered by fans to be mediocore and the last fight between “Straight Dave” and Bruno was one to talk about. The two “fighters” entered the ring and began to tear each other’s clothes off, and while in underwear kissed and licked each other’s chests! Fans went bazerk and began throwing chairs into the ring, ended the night with a boom!

I always hated that guy. The people there had a right to be mad. He probably wants to portray MMA fans as dumb homophobic rednecks in his movie.
But what he really did was waste their time and steal their money. Think about it, he advertises (falsely) a make believe event. Charges people $15 entry. Then doesnt deliver the product they paid for. I would be mad too.
It’s like going to a restaurant that advertised $20 5 pound steaks, and you pay $20 and they bring you a rubber dog toy steak. Insult to injury. Stealing peoples time & money; while trying to insult them at the same time.

The comedy of Bruno is brilliant, while it can be shocking you still cannot help but laugh! Bruno balances wincing with embarrassment!
