“MIXED MARTIAL ARTS FIGHTERS TITO ORTIZ AND KENDALL “DA SPYDER” GROVE TO APPEAR AT ASR TRADE SHOW IN SAN DIEGO TO PROMOTE PUNISHMENT ATHLETICS SPORTSWEAR ON SEPTEMBER 7-9
LOS ANGELES (September 5, 2007) Mixed martial arts fighter Tito Ortiz will promote his successful sportswear firm, Punishment Athletics (www.punishment.com) with fellow Team Punishment fighter Kendall “Da Spyder” Grove at ASR, a three day trade show.
ASR will start Friday, September 7th and run until Sunday, September 9th at the San Diego Convention Center (111 West Harbor Drive / 619-525-5000). Punishment Athletics will be located at booth #3058 under the banner of “Built to Fight Industries.”
As a special treat for visitors to the booth, fan favorites Tito and Kendall will be at the booth throughout the show. Both will participate in a scheduled autograph signing from 3-5pm on Friday, September 7th.
For over 26 years the ASR event has united the action sports industry and lifestyle market, including the top retailers from surf, skate, snow and swim shops to worldwide fashion boutiques, stores and distributors.
Tito’s popular clothing line features an array of athletic wear, casual apparel, and accessories for men, women and children. His clothing line is so popular that its T-shirts, night-shirts and other apparel even get their own posts in the forum section of Tito’s popular blog.
Tito, a former Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight champ, is admired as a colorful showman, a talented athlete and a supporter of our troops. He recently returned from visiting U.S. troops in Iraq and military hospitals in Washington, D.C. and Maryland. Current projects include writing his autobiography for Simon Spotlight Entertainment (a division of Simon & Schuster) and training for a rematch fight with Rashad Evans later this year. The two fought to a draw in July.
Tito was recently named one of the two most influential UFC Fighters of All-Time (outranked only by the legendary Royce Gracie, who no longer fights). He has been profiled in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, along with numerous other news and sports outlets. His acting ability and charisma have earned him roles in several films and TV series, including an appearance on the CBS TV series. According to MaxFighting, Tito has stage presence, plain and simple. People pay attention to him whether it is to hear what he has to say or to say, “Here we go again”.

It’s easy to say diss on tonight’s card and call it weak, and compared to normal cards maybe it is a little on the weak side.
