There is talk that former UFC Champion Quinton Rampage Jackson will soon enter the Octagon after his July 15th traffic arrest. After his July 15th arrest, many thought that Quinton had gone off the deep end. A big loss to Forrest Griffin was initially thought to be the motive, however, as stated in reports, Jackson was simply “ill”. Lack of sleep, food and liquid, lead to him suffering from delirium. But now Jackson seems to be back to himself again (as can be seen in this BJ Penn video) and is preparing himself for the Octagon.
UFC president Dana White is accepting of Jackson and offers his support as quoted by MMA Junkie; “If he was doing drugs, if he had been drunk, if he had gone out there and done what he did because he was pissed off at someone, that would be a completely different story. But he was ill. And in this company, we support our friends and anyone who works for us when they’re ill and have problems. He was ill, the incident occurred, and now he’s fine.”
So with the support of the UFC and Jackson being back to himself again, it seems like UFC 91 which will take place November 15th in Portland Oregon will be Rampage’s return to the ring. Rumor has it, he’s looking to avenge his two losses to Wanderlei Silva. The fight has yet to be confirmed, but the word on the street is that this will be the match up for UFC 91.
